Women bonding turns into networking
Women bond at a different level than men. So when men go out into the world, they build relationships with an aim and purpose of mutual benefit. But there are a few key factors where a woman networking is different from how men approach it.
Men go out for hunting while women tend the chores
Human evolution began five lakh years ago. At that time we lived in the safety of caves for most part of the day and night. Men went out to hunt for food. Women were left behind to do house keeping. At times of scarcity of food, the men and women went for foraging of food like seeds, fruit, honey, etc. But hunting was the main source of food.
Our brain thus evolved that way, narrow focus for men and multi dimensional multi thinking for women. So when men go out for networking, they have a single focus in mind, some temporary aim. That means that women networking is going to work in a different way.
Why do women multi task
Housekeeping is the main driving force of a women. Cleaning up the closet, arranging things, taking out the trash and so on. Women tend to pack the day with a list of things to do. Preferably they keep their calendar full. For a male this is difficult to understand, they think women do not know how to organise and hence appear busy. Let’s just say, women evolved and wired differently.
The greatest evolutionary ability of a women is to divide focus on each activity simultaneously and yet finish those tasks. The other ability is to do those things with style.
Bonding of women
When women come together for any activity they bond for that finite amount of time. They work and talk at the same time. They also tend to dress up well for the occasion, any occasion.
Women network over things like mutual respect, a need to grow, mutual jealousy, a possibility to have a good time and discounted sales.
If you are able to bring a few of these to the table, you will find women coming together and you can have a successful women networking group.
